About the drive and the safari timings

Three to four hours via Tonk on a road that is mostly two-lane and slower than the numbers suggest. The safari is the thing that fixes your timing: morning slots leave around 6:30 and afternoon slots around 2:30, and gate timings shift with the season. Tell us your slot and we will set the pickup backwards from it rather than guess.

The park is closed on some days in the monsoon months and Zone allocation is done by the forest department, not by us — we drive you there and back, we do not sell safari tickets. Most passengers stay one night in Sawai Madhopur; the driver stays with the car and takes you to the gate in the morning.

Questions we get asked

Will we make the morning safari?Only if we leave Jaipur by 2:30 am, which is a hard night. Most passengers travel the day before, stay overnight, and take the morning slot fresh.

Do you book the safari tickets?No. Zones and permits are handled by the forest department and we would rather not promise what we do not control. We handle the driving.

How long does the drive really take?Three and a half to four hours honestly, not three. The Tonk road is two-lane for much of the way with village traffic.

Is a same-day return possible?Yes for the afternoon safari — leave Jaipur at nine, safari at half past two, back in Jaipur by ten at night. It is a long day but people do it.
